How getting involved makes a difference
“The area we live in was a tip!”
So we set up as a Tenants and Residents Association to clean it up. We’ve now got a brilliant play area.”
“Can recycling facilities be placed on the Longley Farm Estate?”
As a result one glass receptacle has been placed in the centre of the Estate, and 3 more are to follow.
"Our community centre needs various improvements"
Arbourthorne TARA wanted various improvements to their Community Centre. Sheffield Homes worked with the TARA and other partners to improve this facility.
"Please stop our communal areas being used as motorbike thoroughfares."
Defensive planting has taken place on Emmerson Crescent to help prevent this problem.
We would like conferences/meetings to be more interactive.”
We agreed and purchased an interactive voting system which will be used to collate feedback from your TARA and other residents.
"Please reduce our communal hedges to 4 foot on Southey Avenue"
We arranged for the hedges to be cut - this resulted in local tenants feeling safer in their homes following a series of anti-social behaviour issues.
Don’t take our word for it! The attached short film shows from a customers point of view how getting involved has made a difference. If you want to find out how each of the different ways of getting involved has made a difference then click on the links below to see what people have said:
