Standards for involvement
Standards for involvement - the City Wide Tenant Participation Agreement
The Agreement was developed by a steering group of tenants, staff from Sheffield Homes and Sheffield City Council. It is the first three-way agreement between tenants, leaseholders, Sheffield City Council and us. It sets down what standards and services you can expect from us when it comes to getting involved. It is split into eight parts:
- Part 1: Introducing our Agreement
- Part 2: You Choose – How tenants can get involved
- Part 3: Support for getting involved
- Part 4: Standards for information
- Part 5: Standards for meetings
- Part 6: Monitoring and reviewing the Agreement
- Part 7: Complaints and disputes
- Part 8: Jargon buster

Standards for involvement - the Community Engagement Strategy
Sheffield Homes’ Community Engagement Strategy sets down our commitment to placing tenants at the heart of decision making and demonstrates how we will respond positively to the emerging challenges set down by the National Tenant Empowerment Agenda. Developed in close consultation with residents the strategy tells us:
- What we mean by excellence in Community Engagement?
- Where are we now?
- Where do we want to be?
- How will we scrutinise and review progress?
- How we will communicate our ambitions?
