After the work

Are you satisfied?

The work carried out to your home will be checked to ensure it meets the required standard. You will be asked if you are satisfied with completed work and we will need you sign to a form to confirm this.

You will also be shown how to use all new items – for example, the shower and central heating – and will receive full information on this equipment.

We will contact you a few months after work is completed asking if you are still satisfied with the improvements to your property.

What if anything goes wrong after the work is finished?

For six months after your home is completed, the original contractor remains responsible for any repairs that may need to be carried out should something go wrong. We will write to you confirming this responsibility period and who to contact to report any problems.

After this time, all repairs and maintenance enquiries should be reported through the repairs call centre Repairs

How will my comments or complaints be dealt with?

You will be asked to take part in a telephone questionnaire conducted by an independent company called View Point. The information you give us is important, as we are constantly monitoring the service we provide to make improvements for the future.

The contractor’s Customer Liaison Advisor (CLA) will be available on site to deal with day-to-day problems. However, if the issue is not rectified, you can contact your local Investment Team or fill in a Complaints praise and suggestions form.

The vast majority of tenants are pleased with the results of the improvements and satisfaction levels with Decent Homes work across the city are over 93% so far this year.
