What will happen
 |
Some homes will need more work than others, and there will be some noise and mess, but when it is finished we are sure you'll be pleased with the result.
We fully understand that this is likely to be a difficult time for your household. We will do everything possible to minimise the disruption and help you cope while we're working in your home.
During the work:
- There will be workers in and around your home, which will affect your privacy
- The work isn't always continuous, so sometimes there may be no workers in your home. The contractor will tell you more about this
- At times there will be lots of dirt, dust, noise and your property will sometimes be very untidy
- The workers will protect your carpets and other effects by providing and using clean dust sheets
- There will be scaffolding around your home if we're working on the roofs and windows
- Sometimes workers will need to turn off your water, gas or electricity. This could be for long periods during the day, but they will always turn them back on at the end of every working day - or provide temporary services. Your CLA will help you should you have specific needs with services or toilets. They can plan around these and make the process as comfortable as possible for you
- Because you'll have packed a lot of your things away, sometimes you'll be "living out of boxes," especially when we're fitting the kitchen units

How long will the work take?
From previous experience of doing major works, we estimate that the work will take seven weeks. We cannot guarantee that it will take exactly that long, as every property is unique.
