Sheltered schemes

All properties in a sheltered scheme will receive a new kitchen, a wiring upgrade if necessary and a level access shower. Baths are fitted subject to an Occupational Therapy referral. Other works are carried as necessary – for example, heating refurbishment, re-roofing or the installation of a lift.

Before any work is carried out, a meeting will take place at each scheme to explain fully what is required and to answer any of your questions. Following this, individual meeting will take place to discuss residents’ needs. Respite facilities are made available where needed.

The schemes at Orpen House, Park View Lodge and Springwater House will involve the conversion of some of the bedsits into one bedroom flats. This will require some tenants to move permanently within the scheme.
