Our rights and responsibilities
If you are a leaseholder, Sheffield City Council has the right, as the freeholder and your landlord, to:-
- Rebuild, restrict or develop any part of the block / estate or neighbouring land if it believes this to be necessary
- Give at least 48 hours written notice before we can carry out any necessary works. In an emergency, this rule will not apply and no notice needs to be given
- Pay a fair proportion of repairing third party walls to your flat and rebuild / reinstate its property as necessary
