Order a repair

You can report a repair in lots of different ways; please see below. For more information about how we deal with
your repairs (e.g. how long it will take; what you can expect) please visit our repairs section. If you are a leaseholder please see the leasehold section. 

Online

You can now order a repair online. It's quick, easy, and saves you the cost of a phone call! Visit the Do It Online page and go to the Online Services log in. In January 2010 we sent all customers a unique pin number and password to access this feature. If you didn't receive yours, or if you are having problems logging in, please call us on 0114 293 0000 (North) or 0114 205 3333 (South) to get help using the website. Please note that you can't order emergency repairs online, you should still do this by phone.  

By phone

As soon as you notice that your home needs a repair, please call our Repairs Service Centre on 0114 273 5555 (8am-8pm Monday to Friday). You'll need to give us some details about your repair, please see What to tell us. Please do not telephone the Area Housing Office, Call Centres or First Point to report repairs.

You can use the freephone at Howden House First Point or any other First Point to call the Service Centre.

By text message

Non-urgent repairs can be registered by text message. Simply text the details of your repair to 07791 920 923; we will acknowledge your request by text to your mobile and call you by the end of the next working day (Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 5.30pm) to arrange your repair.

By email

You can also report non-urgent repairs by email to Sheffield.repairs@kier.co.uk

Out of hours emergencies

If you have an emergency outside normal working hours, at weekends or Bank Holidays, please phone 0114 273 0101 for burst pipes, boarding-up of doors and windows, electricity supply failure, heating breakdowns with no other form of heat (i.e. gas fire).

Please do not call this number if your repair is not an emergency. You could be charged for the time taken to attend your home if the repair is not an emergency situation.

Watch out for bogus callers!

Before you let anyone into your home to carry out repairs, always ask to see their identity card. You can ask the Repairs Service Centre staff to give you a password that Kier's workmen will quote when they visit you. You can also call 0114 273 5226 to double check if you're not sure.
