How we work with Sheffield City Council

Sheffield Homes was set up by Sheffield City Council in 2004 to manage council housing across the city on its behalf.

We are owned by Sheffield City Council and work closely with them to provide a range of services.

The Council still provides some housing services, including help for people at risk of being homeless, right to buy, advice about private rented accommodation, shared ownership, and housing associations. It also manages housing regeneration and other services that contribute to successful neighbourhoods.
